| Quality Policy |
WE AT THE ALWAYE GROUP WORK TOWARDS DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING TAP CHANGERS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AND DURABILITY THAT GIVES OUR CUSTOMERS ABSOLUTE SATISFACTION BY ITS FAULT PROOF AND CONSISTENT OPERATION.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO
- CUSTOMER SATISFACTION THROUGH ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE
- ACHIEVEMENT OF A STATE OF COMPLETE QUALITY CONTROL IN MANUFACTURING PROCEDURES
- PRACTICE THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN BUSINESS ETHICS
We achieve Total Quality in our manufacturing processes by ensuring multiple checkpoints at every stage of production. Quality Assurance checks are conducted at the following stages of production.
- RAW MATERIAL / COMPONENTS / SUB CONTRACT INPUT.
- ASSEMBLY STAGE.
- FINAL INSPECTION & TESTING.
- PACKING & DISPATCH.
We procure Raw Materials and Components from established Vendors only who have made their mark in the industry with their high quality products.
Raw Material Input from Manufacturers
For Material Input, all Technical Requirements, including the Di Electric Test Requirements and Mechanical Requirements are specified through our Specific Part Drawings, to the Vendor. We provide these requirements along with our detailed Purchase Orders itself.
The Vendors are required to furnish Batch Inspection Reports along with every supply. Material which does not adhere to the quality standards mentioned are not accepted.
Raw Material Input from Traders
All Raw Material Input being bought from Traders are required to comply with the relevant IS Standards. The Trader is informed accordingly and any material which does not comply with the relevant IS Standards are not accepted.
Component Input
The Vendors who supply various Components are required to comply with the standards and requirements of the design specified by us, and any supply which does not adhere to such standards are not accepted.
Sub Contract Input
Sub Contractors who are assigned to carry out various activities like Surface Treatment, Machining, are required to be equipped with up-to-date technical know how and relevant Testing Equipments to ensure proper Dimensional Accuracy / Finish as per standards. Our Engineers inspect and conduct relevant Quality Assurance tests on every batch on their premises to ensure the adherence to our standards.
All material thus received from our Vendors (Manufacturers/Traders/Sub Contractors) come directly under the purview of the Production Department, where further inspection is carried out with the assistance of specialized equipments and systems. Material which does not comply with the relevant standards is immediately rejected and removed from the premises.
ASSEMBLY STAGE
After the receipt of the Raw Material and Components, which have been tested for complete conformity to relevant standards and our drawings, they are assembled with strict adherence to the assembly drawing prepared by the Design Office. At this Stage, Inspection is carried out to ensure dimensional accuracies and proper mating of all the components and material. IR Values are checked after every Oven Cycle to ensure the release of moisture from the base material.
FINAL INSPECTION & TESTING
Once the Assembly is ready, the same is mounted on our test bench (which is a simulator of the equipments' actual mounting inside the Transformer) and the following tests are conducted.
- Constructional & Dimensional Check
- Contact Resistance Measurement using Milli Volt Drop Method with our in house Test Kit.
- Insulation Resistance Measurement using Megger 2.5 kV.
- Leakage Proof Test on Stuffing Box, using Hydraulic Test Kit.
- Power Frequency Voltage Withstand Test, using our HV Test Kit.
Dispatch clearances are issued only after the successful completion of the above tests.
PACKING & DISPATCH
Upon the issuance of clearance for dispatch, the equipment is packed in custom made, tamper proof wooden / paper cartons. These Packing Material and Boxes are carefully selected and custom built to ensure proper protection to the equipment being packed and to avoid transit damages.
The dispatches are organized though transporters with adequate material handling facilities to ensure that the cartons are properly handled while loading, transportation and unloading.
